Given the current global situation surrounding COVID-19, we are following government and Brass Bands England advice surrounding public gatherings, and cancelling band rehearsals for the next two weeks.
The Government has tonight updated its guidance to avoid all non-essential contact. Brass bands are non-essential. BBE now recommends to our members and the wider brass band community that all in-person brass band activity is stopped for the foreseeable future. This includes rehearsals, concerts, contests, committee meetings, other group activity and individual lessons.
Brass Brands England
It was an early start for Brindle after drawing first in the fourth section – at 9.30am sharp, we broke into the national anthem to start proceedings. We went on to play Neverland, for which we were awarded 4th place out of 16 entrants.
We also took home the prize for Best Percussion Section
Congratulations to Dave Jordan, Jack Yerkess & Lynsey Norris for putting in a fantastic performance on the percussion section – no doubt contributing to our 4th place!
